The de5ign brief
The business owner approached us to come up with some new concepts and style sheets for her lifestyle title after a year in circulation, as well as this she wanted advice on improving the flow of the publication. The client then requested that we designed and developed a fully functioning cross platform website that would include articles, podcasts, events and a subscription section for readers to receive their printed copy of the magazine.
The de5ign solution
We decided that the title needed to be broken down into long reads, short reads, snippets and pictorials as well as reducing the number of typefaces being used and home in on 2 or 3 complimentary families.
The website was built on WordPress content management system so the magazine contributors can easily upload their work to keep the site up to date whilst on the go. We built an eCommerce subscription based website for people to purchase the magazine smoothly.
