The Culture Trip Magazine

The de5ign brief

The Publishing Director at The Culture Trip approached us with the idea of producing a quarterly title to reflect their position of operating in the travel, media and entertainment sectors. They needed guidance of exactly what specification to go with so as the final printed product fitted in on point with their brand and appealed to their target audience whilst also creating a synergy with their already established digital platform.

The de5ign solution

The decision was made to produce a 128 page title with a 4 page cover. The cover was to be printed on a heavy silk paper with an elegant soft touch lamination. A vibrant green ink was chosen to bring out the masthead and key elements of the cover with a spot uv coating to lift the final finish. As a collective we agreed to print the vast majority of the text pages on a really nice uncoated paper with two sections to be printed on a stylish silk paper to break up the pace of the title. The clients creative team designed beautiful visuals to really compliment the final specification as well as fully showcasing the beautiful photography along with the interesting and informative read created by the editorial and content team.

What de5ign clients say

“Stewart was fantastic to work with throughout the whole project. He was always on hand to answer any questions, he guided us through a number of different possibilities with his expert knowledge which was a huge benefit to both myself and our creative team as we threw a number of different ideas his way from the outset. We was really happy with the printed product and we very much look forward to working with Stewart and the team at TDW on the following issues and future projects.”
